About Sally

Sally is a Lawyer and Associate with Estate First Lawyers. She is passionate about estate planning law and brings a wealth of knowledge in finance, superannuation and tax-related matters to the team.

Sally originally trained and practised as an Accountant for many years with some of Australia’s largest chartered public practice accounting firms. She then decided to take the long road of studying law so that she could pursue her goal of becoming a Lawyer.

Sally is passionate about estate planning and uses her deep knowledge of tax, superannuation and finance to help clients in crafting an effective and comprehensive estate plan.

Sally is warm and approachable and strives to provide excellent and personalised outcomes for her clients, who quickly feel confident that they are in good hands.

Education & Credentials

Sally is a qualified Lawyer and holds a number of degrees, including a Juris Doctor Postgraduate Law, Bachelor of Commerce, and Master of Taxation. She also has a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting, a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and is a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Tax Institute.

She is a member of a several organisations and participates on the Tax Institute’s National Superannuation Technical Committee and in various Tax discussion groups with the Taxation Institute of Australia and the Institute of Financial Professionals Australia.

Expertise

Sally offers clients expert advice on the full spectrum of estate planning, including structuring Wills, creating trusts, optimising tax outcomes and minimising the risk of estate claims.

Her unique background of accounting and law allows Sally to approach estate planning with a comprehensive understanding of both financial and legal considerations.

She brings to Estate First the benefit of her many years of experience in these areas, particularly with the succession, tax treatment and estate planning aspects of entities such as companies, partnerships, self-managed superannuation funds, and trusts.

Sally is experienced at presenting to large and small groups. She has a warm and engaging manner and seeks to make often difficult concepts and content relevant and practical to her audience so that they come away with useful strategies and information.  

Sally has presented to and educated clients and advisors in face-to-face sessions, webinars and at conferences.
